The ETUI was recognised in 2013 as an ‘eco-dynamic enterprise” by Bruxelles Environnement, the public service responsible for the environment and energy at the Brussels-Capital Region.
In June 2013, the ETUI received 'one star' for its plans and efforts to voluntarily reduce the ecological footprint of its activities.
The institute has planned several actions in different areas such as lighting, heating, printing, electricity and water use as well as measures related to transport, traveling, and internal communication.
