Background
Andreas Botsch is currently working at the ETUI on secondment from the German Confederation of Trade Unions (DGB) where he occupied the position of Head of the Economics Department. From 1998-2000 he was Counsellor of Employment and Social Affairs at the Permanent Representation of Germany to the EU in Brussels. Prior to that, for a period of 10 years, he was Senior Policy Advisor at OECD’s Trade Union Advisory Committee (TUAC) in Paris. Until 2002 he was Member of the German Bundestag Study Commission ‘Globalisation of the World Economy – Challenges and Policy Responses’ and is now still a member of several advisory groups, including the Friedrich Ebert Foundation ‘Kocheler Kreis’. He teaches at several academic institutions.
