Béla Galgóczi graduated in electronical engineering (1982) from the Technical University of Budapest and in sociology and philosophy (1986) from the University of Sciences in Budapest. He completed postgraduate studies in political science at the University of Amsterdam (1990) and obtained a PhD in Economics from the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 1994.
Before joining the ETUI in April 2003, Bela worked as a researcher at several Hungarian research institutes and was economic advisor to various Hungarian Ministries.
He is now a Senior Researcher at the ETUI in the field of economic and labour market policy.
