Background

Philippe Pochet is General Director of the European Trade Union Institute (ETUI) and visiting lecturer at the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL). Prior to becoming Director of the ETUI in 2008, he was Director of the Observatoire social européen (OSE) for 16 years. During this time, other temporary positions included adjunct professor and visiting scholar at the Griffith University (Brisbane), associate researcher at the Interuniversity Research Centre on Globalization and Work (CRIMT), Montréal University, visiting scholar at the Max-Planck-Institut für Gesellschaftsforschung (Cologne), EU Fulbright-in-Residence scholar at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA) and visiting scholar at Center for European Studies, Harvard University, Cambridge (USA).
