    • On 24 March 2016 a controversial reform bill on labour law was adopted by the French cabinet (Conseil des ministres). The text completely redrafts the section of the Labour Code dealing with working time, according a much more important role to company-level agreements. The draft law represents the first stage in the reform of the Labour Code scheduled for completion in 2018. Read more

  • The right to strike is guaranteed by the Constitution. It is an individual right that is to be exercised collectively. In other words, it is necessary for several employees to decide, together, that they will stop work as a means of furthering work-related demands.
