Description

Almost 1.8 persons per 1000 inhabitants in the EU are in forced labour. This crime on workers intersects with free labour (in the workplace, pressure on wages, etc.).

The EU Council recommended that member states ratify the new ILO protocol to the Forced Labour Convention by the end of 2016.

What are unions’ experiences with forced labour?

What concrete proposals can they make to support implementation of the protocol?
