The economic and financial crisis: promoting a labour-friendly policy response
The current economic and financial crisis is having important consequences for citizens and workers across Europe. To address the many challenges from the regulation of the financial market to the new vision of a fair and sustainable society, ETUI has developed analyses and organised seminar and conferences with a short, medium and long term perspective, in cooperation with TURI network. The aim is to foster debates on the causes, consequences and possible solutions to the crisis. This web page gather the most relevant initiatives.

The importance of supplementary pension schemes is growing across Europe and this has important consequences for the whole economy and more specifically for the wellbeing of workers and their families at their retirement. In a series of publications and at a seminar, the ETUI sheds light on this very important development, by analysing the risks and suggesting possible improvements, especially in the context of the current global crisis.
