SETUP publications

SETUP produces specific tools for helping trade unionists with designing and managing European projects, including handbooks on project management. They are published in several languages and offer valuable tips and suggestions.
The updated versions, all downloadable, are available in English and French. ETUI can help affiliates in translating the updated versions by funding 50% of the translation costs.

This handbook produced in cooperation with the ETUC aims to provide general information on the new structure of the ESF for the years 2007-2013, whilst offering targeted support to trade union colleagues from the new 12 Member States, who are participating in the ESF for the first time. Trade unionists are shown how they can get involved in the ESF as a means of bolstering the employment and innovation policies in their countries.
It also gives guidance on how to organise training activities about making best use of the ESF. It can be downloaded in our Resource section.

UPDATED August 2009. 4th edition. This handbook (1st edition in 2008) provides an introduction for trade unions to the European Union’s new Lifelong Learning Programme, which promotes and helps finance collaboration and cooperation in all fields of education and vocational training. Available in English and French, it can be downloaded in our Resource section.

April 2010 7th edition
The manual "Trade Unions and Transnational Projects: A guide to managing European training projects", has been regularly updated. Published originally in 14 languages in 1994, it has been regularly updated as a means of underpinning our own training activities and supporting and developing those of other ETUC affiliated organisations. The 7th edition 2010 is available in English and French.
