Panel 14 Europe: from social model to social dumping?

This panel presents some of the findings of the ETUI project launched to shed light on causes, forms and effects of social dumping. It will show how the two major European integration projects - the creation of the Internal Market and EU enlargement - have provided market actors with new opportunities to contest social regulations. The remaining presentations focus on the side effects of policies pursued by EU institutions that can pose a threat for national labour standards, and examine specific social dumping practices developed in the context of intra-EU employee posting, migration and cross-border organization of production.
