Plenary A - Growth for jobs or jobs for growth?

Wednesday 24 September 17:45-20:00 - Room: Belgium

Plenary A Inaugural keynote speeches - Growth for jobs or jobs for growth?

A vicious circle of high and persistent unemployment and poor quality jobs, reinforced by uncertainty about the immediate future, has weakened the EU’s prospects for growth and the ability to address the fiscal and social imbalances brought about by the crisis. In the opening plenary session influential personalities will discuss how this vicious circle can be broken and what possible pathways can lead to new jobs in Europe.
