Additional priority: Capacity building and development of skills

EU-funded projects represent an opportunity for unions. However, the design and implementation of transnational projects require specific skills and tools. As criticised by the European Commission, applicants need to make an effort to improve the quality of project proposals they submit.

The workshop will focus on trade union projects under Social Dialogue (SD) budget lines. It will start by showcasing projects implemented by national confederations, European trade union federations and the ETUC. An in-depth presentation of the rules and new features of the SD budget lines, together with a Q&A session with ETUC experts, will follow. A further reflection will look at ways of matching trade union priorities, at European and national levels, with the requirements and main objectives of SD budget lines. Finally, participants will have the opportunity to share project ideas, enhance their networks and pave the way to project partnerships.
