Priority 3: Sustainable development and industrial policy

In 2015, the countries of the United nations adopted a set of 17 goals to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all, so called SDG’s (sustainable development goals). The EU and its member States are called upon to implement these goals by 2030. This is a commitment by governments and international institutions. However, other actors have a role to play, especially Trade Unions. In this training course, we will explore the ways of implementing the SDG’s in our trade Union work, starting by recalling the goals and their targets, getting inspired by experiences of colleagues in the Member States, and going to a very concrete use of the SDG’s in our collective bargaining.
