Priority 4: Working conditions and job quality

Description

Organising is more and more vital to trade unions and workers alike. Especially for freelancers, all those who daily face different forms of flexible work in various ways and often do so, without certain or recognized rights.

With technology bringing a personalisation and disintermediation to labour relationships, workers still need to have a voice and role in the process. What were previously the gangmasters or the traditional heads of HR can nowadays be algorithms setting the rules/times/conditions of work. We must figure out together how to engage new – and old – workers and bargain the algorithms.
