Description

Training course: The Digital economy is already part of our lives. Production and supply chains are being restructured. Work organisation and working conditions as well as labour are constantly changing.It is crucial then to focus on how can trade unions engage in the field of industry 4.0. How can trade unions tackle workers’ issues such as OSH, Skill/training, data privacy and working time?

Objectives

  • To map industries and services which have/will undergo(ne) major digital restructuring;
  • To discuss national and regional plans for industry 4.0;
  • To asses trade union action on industry 4.0 on OSH, data privacy, skill/training and working time;
  • To review legislative proposals at EU level & refer to the ETUC action plan and its project on workers’ participation in the digital economy;
  • To develop ideas to include workers issues in company policies on industry 4.0
