Priority 5: Trade union renewal

Because not much legislation currently exists in European countries on atypical and platform work, the main objective of this training course is to organise these workers in trade unions. However, changes in labour legislation and harmonisation with EU regulation are on the horizon. Keeping in mind that current trade union membership is ageing, we need to develop new strategies for recruiting new members, especially younger ones. Training for existing young members is also needed.

The course will strengthen the capacities of young leaders for trade union activism and enable participants to analyse the opportunities of organising atypical and platform workers.
