Trade union and leadership renewal


The labour market is horizontally and vertically segregated along gender lines, impacting such areas as wages, gender stereotypes and Occupational Health and Safety (OSH) .

To break with the segregated labour market and adress OSH issues in “women’s sectors”, we need to learn from unions’ and ETUC actions addressing occupational segregation

  • To analyse occupational gender segregation in various EU regions and sectors;
  • To list work-related diseases in predominantly women sectors and assess good practices;
  • To review why and which kind of policies have an impact on altering previous segregation;
  • To prioritize actions to reduce occupational segregation;
  • To enable participants to build or strengthen networks.
