Background

Paolo Tomassetti is Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research Fellow at Aix-Marseille University, Centre de droit social. His research focuses on how to make labour law more responsive to contemporary societal needs, including those concerned with the global ecological crisis and the energy transition. Before joining Aix-Marseille University, Paolo was research fellow at ADAPT and then researcher and assistant professor in labour law at Bergamo University, where he got a Ph.D. in labour relations. In the last few years, Paolo coordinated several research projects co-funded by the D.G. Employment and Social Affairs & Inclusion of the European Commission under the funding line ‘improving expertise in the field of industrial relations’.
