Guest speaker: Rabih Jamillecturer in labour studies and organizations

Rabih Jamil is a lecturer in the sociology of work and organization. He has been conducting ethnographic fieldwork among Uber drivers for more than 5 years. He is affiliated with GIREPS, a Montreal-based research group on employment, poverty, and social protection. His research interests focus on the transformation of work, digital capitalism, surveillance technologies, and workers' self-organizing practices. Rabih has more than 15 years of professional research experience in the areas of socio-economic development, refugee economic integration, and the organizing of informal workers.
