Europe: Rewrite the Rules for Shared Prosperity, European Dialogue 2017
Albert Hall Chaussee de Wavre, 649-651 1040 Brussels Belgium

The Hans Böckler Foundation in conjunction with the European Trade Union Institute is organising the 2017 European Dialogue on 27-28 April in Brussels.

Europe is in dire straits. The USA under President Trump is banking on deals and nation states; the upcoming elections in France and Germany will set the direction for the further development of the European Union. Many people find it increasingly difficult to see in the European unification process a path to greater prosperity and growth. They are turning away from Europe and towards parties critical of Europe.

The European answer cannot be: keep it coming.
Europe needs new rules for prosperity for all. We will discuss in the European Dialogue 2017 how these new rules must be framed, what they represent and who has to be involved.
We are pleased that Jean-Claude Juncker, the President of the European Commission, is coming to the European Dialogue to lead the debate with us.
