The EWPCC Conferences regularly bring together employee representatives and other practitioners, academic experts, trade unions and policy-makers to discuss relevant research and to debate topical issues around workers’ participation. The 2022 EWPCC conference will take stock of the experience of EWCs operating on the basis of the 1996 and 2009 EWC Directives.

What works, what doesn’t? How could the regulatory framework of the EWC be improved to ensure that EWCs are able to fulfil their role as a linchpin of effective and meaningful transnational information and consultation within multinational companies in Europe? We will hear from experts from the ETUI, ETUC representatives, the national and sectoral/European trade unions and the European Parliament. While the online format may not afford the same intensity of exchange that usually marks the annual EWPCC Conferences, we will build upon the experience of last year’s online EWPCC Conference by providing a mix of expert and political input as well as opportunities for EWC members to exchange experience with one another and feed these directly back into the Conference.
