  • Contribute to the Institute’s Strategic Plan and develop the strategy for its area of responsibilities;

Vacancy for a researcher/senior researcher in economics at the ETUI (M/F)

Your work will focus primarily on designing, conducting and managing comparative research projects addressing any of the broad questions mentioned in the full advertisement, although we would particularly welcome candidates with the capacity and willingness to look into questions of economic governance in the EU, how social protection systems could contribute to reducing inequalities in the context of the aforementioned transitions, with a special reference to the European Pillar of Social Rights, and spelling out options and strategies for a just environmental transition. To this end, you are expected to take part in international research networks and to maintain contacts with universities, other research bodies and trade unions. You will also organise workshops, seminars and conferences, and publish the results of your research in ETUI publications, specialised journals and other media. Additionally, you will provide expertise in support of European trade union activities, in particular in co-operation with the European Trade Union Confederation and the European Trade Union Federations.

The appointment will initially be for a three-year period with the possibility of extension.
