The ETUI's Green Competence Framework is a comprehensive approach that identifies five interrelated competences encompassing knowledge, abilities, values, and attitudes required to live in, develop, and support a society that minimizes the impact of human activities on the environment.

In autumn 2023, the ETUI will release a training guide titled 'Green Competences for Trade Unionists: A Case-Based Approach'. This guide aims to equip trade unionists with the necessary sustainability competences in sectors such as agriculture, education, construction, transport, mining and much more.

Moreover, the ETUI will also launch 'Just Transition Now', which is an educational tool designed to enhance trade unions' capacity in tackling sustainability challenges.

Objectives

  1. Introduce the ETUI's green competence framework approach;
  2. Apply the ETUI's green competence framework approach to real-life case studies;
  3. Implement the ETUI's green competence framework into trade unions daily practices and working environment;
  4. Use 'Just Transition Now',  the educational tool to develop trade union capacity regarding sustainability challenges

Working language is English and another language depending on the needs of the participants.
