Despite the legislative framework, in practice collective bargaining faces several challenges that prevent union representatives from concluding and enforcing collective agreements. Multi-crisis responses have had a big impact on the collective bargaining process in many sectors. The issue of gender equality and equal opportunities is not yet a priority in collective agreements in many European countries.
In this webinar, we want to see to what extent gender equality is sufficiently reflected in collective bargaining and how gender equality can be mainstreamed.
It will help increase understanding of the challenges and opportunities of gender mainstreaming in collective bargaining.
- To map different collective bargaining realities and practices from a gender equality perspective.
- To discover the European legal framework on gender equality and how to implement it.
- To exchange national/sectoral practices on gender equality policy and practices.
- To draw up a list of practical issues in negotiating gender equality at different levels.
English, Romanian and Slovenian; another language could be added based on participant’s request.
- Trade union officers concerned with collective bargaining at national/sectoral/local or unit level.
- Members of women's committees.
- Trade union officers concerned with equality matters.
How are enrolments processed?
The webinar is open to a maximum of 30 participants. The final confirmation of the participants will be done by ETUI and the team of trainers, considering the requirements for the target group.
Please bear in mind the recommendations of the ETUC Action Plan for women, which call for the proportional representation of women in trade union activities.
