
Abstract
Description
During the COVID crisis, the number of reported incidents of violence against women had increased significantly, that includes a spike in online harassment, sexual harassment in the workplace, violence towards frontline women workers, as well as, gender-based violence. Developing and enhancing trade union actions to eradicate violence and harassment in the workplace is necessary to raise awareness of these situations. During this training course, you will analyze the problem, and its consequences, you will dig deeper into the European legal framework, and find the appropriate tools to tackle violence and harassment in the workplace from a trade union perspective.
At the end of this course learners will be able to :
● To understand the problem of violence and harassment in the workplace
● To analyze the European legal framework to find the tools that it provides
● To develop and enhance trade union actions to eradicate violence and harassment in the workplace is necessary to raise awareness of these situations.
Participants
Trade union officers from the ETUC affiliated organisations in national and transnational contexts. A maximum of 20 participants can be accepted.
